Code of Conduct
ZooZatZ is committed to its employees being treated fairly and just. As a company we strive to follow the Fair Labor Association Workplace Code of Conduct and the International Labour Organization (ILO) standards as a commitment to basic Human Rights.
Child Labor
We aim to ensure our company follows the law and cares for children’s interest. We do not want to stand in the way of children’s health, schooling, or free time and to do that we follow the federal child labor provisions, authorized by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
Compensation
Employees are entitled to compensation for a standard work week to meet basic needs and provide discretionary income. Employer shall pay at least minimum wage and comply with State and Federal requirements.
WOMEN’S RIGHTS
Both men and women shall have the same opportunities of work without restriction of job type, hours, or limits. In addition, new mothers are entitled to a leave of absence without it effecting return to work for both physical childbirth and recovery time.
EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP
Employers shall respect workers and their rights under both State and Federal labor laws and social security laws and regulations.
Forced Labor
Employers shall not use any form of forced labor, prison labor, or any other form of forced labor. Migrant workers shall have the same entitlements as local employees.
FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION
AND COLLECTIVE BARGAINING
Employer will comply with all applicable laws and regulations and collective bargaining agreements. It is the right of employees to freely form and join workers organizations, such as unions and worker associations.
HARASSMENT AND ABUSE
Employer will comply with all applicable federal, state and local anti-harassment laws and regulations, ensuring every employee is treated with respect and dignity. Any display of harassment sexual, physical, phycological, or verbal, will not be tolerated.
HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT
It is the employer’s responsibility to create a safe working environment and follow federal health and safety guidelines. Also ensuring all employees are free of controlled and uncontrolled substances that impair the ability to work safely. It is also the employer’s responsibility to minimize any negative environmental impact by following all applicable environmental laws, rules and regulations in the countries of operation.
HOURS OF WORK
Employers and employees will agree for consensual overtime work, and it will not be requested on a regular basis by either party. Employer will compensate overtime at a premium rate and unless there is exceptional circumstances, the sum of a regular and overtime work week shall not exceed 60 hours.
NON-DISCRIMINATION
Throughout the processes of hiring, employment, advancement, compensation, discipline, termination, or retirement the employer will not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, age, religion, disability status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetic information or marital status will not be tolerated.
